Donation Based Counselling

If you are feeling anxious, low in mood or suffering from mild to moderate mental health difficulties, we’re here to help!

Compassion Counselling is part of Vineyard Compassion’s Emotional Wellbeing Service, providing professional therapeutic support to anyone in our community struggling emotionally. Our team of Counsellors will work with you to ensure that you get the most appropriate form of support, helping you to build resilience and learn new ways of coping with difficult emotions and situations. Our goal is to provide access to timely, tailored, and affordable mental health care for everyone in the community.

We want to make counselling accessible for every member of the community (children, young people and adults), so we offer a donation-based approach that works within each person's budget. This is based on suggested donations per session on a sliding scale depending on the persons income and is entirely voluntary. Where someone is in financial difficulty and cannot make a small donation we strongly encourage them to still make a self-referral as we will never turn anyone away and will take all reasonable steps to ensure they get the support they need.

Suggested donation amounts per session

Amount Applicant circumstances
£25 - £40           In full time employment
£15 - £20           In part time employment
£3 - £10              Unemployed & on benefits

We recognise that everyone's circumstances are different, so the figures above are just a suggestion. Please feel free to give what you can afford!

To set up a counselling appointment (in person, phone or video call), complete our online referral form by clicking the link below. Please note if you have been referred by another organisation - ie NIHE etc.
